How Visionform works

The short guide. Worth a minute before you get going.

There is no login, and nothing is saved online. We do not keep a copy of your boards on a server. They live in the browser, on the device you made them on. There is no account to log back into.

That means if you clear your browser data, work in a private window, or move to a different device, your boards will not follow you.

So save your work yourself. That file is your real backup, and it is yours.

Saving your work

Inside the app, File → Save writes your project out as a .vform file. Keep it wherever you keep things that matter — your documents folder, a cloud drive, a memory stick. File → Open brings it back, on any device.

Saving a picture of your board is a different thing: use Download or Print for that. A picture is for looking at and sharing; the .vform file is the one you can carry on editing.

Which browser to use

Chrome or Edge on a computer give you the best of it. Those two can save your board straight into a folder you choose and reopen it later, the way a normal desktop program does.

Everything else — Safari, Firefox, phones, tablets — works perfectly well. You just get an ordinary download instead of a save-to-folder.

Installing it on your device

Visionform can be installed, so it opens in its own window with its own icon and no address bar, like any other app. Nothing is downloaded from an app store.

Open visionform.app and look for the install option in your browser's menu.

Installing does not change where your boards are kept — they are still on that device, and you should still save your files.

Sharing your vision board

Send it to someone — download it as a picture and attach it to a message, or post it.
Print it — set the page size, margins and bleed first, so it comes out the size you meant.
Make it your wallpaper — download it and set it as the background on your phone or computer, which is the whole point of a vision board: seeing it.
